Ileana Velasco Ruiz, MD, aims to carry out her personal fulfillment through the exercise of a responsible and humane medical practice for the good of society. With this goal in mind, she now works in a prestigious hospital, exercising her subspecialty as a pediatric hematologist, as an invaluable element of Dr. Consuelo Mancias-Guerra’s medical team.
She started her professional practice at the Hospital del Niño “Federico Gomez Santos” where she received her degree in pediatric studies. In addition to this degree, she has also attended an abundance of conferences including, XXVI National Congress of Research in Medicine, the National Congress of the Mexican Association for the Study of Hematology, a Course on Research Methodology, among others.
Furthermore, she has published several articles, one of which was accepted for publication in the international journal “Hematology”.
Academic achievements:
· Third place in presentation of work in posters in the XXXVI REVIEW OF UPDATE IN PEDIATRICS (Saltillo, Coahuila).
· Recognition for the distinguished graduate student 2017.
· First place in presentation of work in posters in the LX NATIONAL HEMATOLOGY CONGRESS (Mexican Association for the study of hematology, A.C.)
