He is director of the Hematology Service of the University Hospital and has published more than 200 articles in Mexican and international journals, many in the field of HSCT, as well as several book chapters. He has received several awards recognizing his work as a researcher and in February 2017 he was recognized with the CIBMTR Distinguished Service Award for his work in the field of stem cell transplantation.
